“Where Learning Comes First”

VOLLEYBALL  - This weeks schedule:   Today against Warren County (home), Wednesday, 3/14 against James Wood (home).   
ART CLUB –  Next meeting will be Tuesday, 3/20 “Group B”.    

6TH AND 7TH GRADE VOCALISTS – Today is the LAST day to sign up to audition for next year's Select Chorus.  Auditions will begin on Thursday 3/15 for 6th grade students and Tuesday 3/20 for 7th grade students.  See Mrs. Legge Mauck if you have any questions. 

–  Any rising 7th or 8th grade student who is interested in being in Symphonic Band is reminded that the audition material is now on the band website and must be submitted by March 23rd.  If you have any questions, please see Mrs. Paul.   
FCCLA -  Today after school  from 3-4 in room 144.  

CANDY SHAMROCKS – This week the  7th grade gold team will be selling candy shamrocks in front of the café in the mornings.  Send a candy shamrock along with a message to your friends for only .50 cents!  SOL’s are right around the corner for many so wish them the “luck of the Irish” on sale only until Thursday! 

AYLOR’S GOT TALENT – Students!!!  Do you have the music within you?  Do you have movement?  Want to let your comedic side out?  Maybe you and a few friends get together on the weekends in your garage and have a jam session or maybe put on a play in your living room?  You need to bring your talent to the stage!  Aylor’s PTSO is sponsoring “Aylor’s Got Talent”.  Auditions will be held on Thursday, March 22nd from 3-4pm in the cafeteria.  Rules and Application Forms can be picked up at the front office.  Don’t delay, they must be submitted in advance.  Come on everyone; share with us your TALENT!  Any questions, please see Mr. Deignan or Mrs. Sarppraicone.  

8TH GRADE – Reminder to all 8th graders that your 8th grade contract forms are due Thursday, March 15th.  If we do not have a signed contract, you will not be allowed to attend the 8 grade dance and other 8th grade festivities.  Questions, please see Mrs. Sarppraicone.   

HOMEWORK HELPER -   The Homework Helpers will be meeting in the library today until 4 o'clock. Check us out as this is a great opportunity for you to get some help with homework and studying from teachers and high school students. Please bring you assignment book, work, and a charged chromebook.              

PTSO SPIRIT NIGHT -   Tuesday, March 20, the PTSO will be having a Spirit Night at Chipotle from 4-8 pm. Flyers will be handed out first period Thursday morning. You must tell the cashier you are there for the fundraiser or show the flyer when you check out for your order to count toward the spirit night. We are hoping for a big turnout to help fund the end of the year plans we have. Please join us on Tuesday! 
FORENSIC NIGHT -     Winners of the forensics contest will meet tomorrow in Miss clagg's room until 5 PM. This will be our last meeting before the countywide competition.       

TSA – Tomorrow after school from 3-3:45.  Coding club members are welcome to attend as well.  

SCA - SCA will be selling t-shirts and offering stickers during REAP tomorrow. The t-shirts will be $15 and all of the funds raised will go to the families of the 17 people that lost their lives.
CONGRATS – Congratulations to Carlos Becki for placing 1st (ranked 1st in Virginia) for his floor routine in Gymnastics and ranked 3rd overall in the state.  The Regionals will be in April.
