“Where Learning Comes First”

BIRTHDAYS  - no bdays.  

ART CLUB –  Our next art club meeting will be after school today (make up day) “Group B” and Monday, April 9th “Group B”.    

SHERANDO CHORUS - ANY 8th grade student who is interested in auditioning for Sherando High School's Choral Department needs to sign up outside Mrs. Legge Mauck's door before Monday, April 9.  You will also need to obtain a permission form from her.  Dr. Jennings will be here on Wednesday, April 11 to audition interested students and those will start at 8:15 am.  You do not have to be in choir this year to audition.  Please see Mrs. Legge Mauck if you have any questions.

SELECT CHORUS – Any rising 7th or 8th grade student who received a letter for Select Chorus for 2018-2019 needs to turn in the information sheet signed by your parent no later than Monday, 4/9 to Mrs. Legge/Mauck.  

TRACK – Our first track meet of the season will be Tuesday, 4/10 against JWMS (home) and Thursday, 4/12 against ABMS (away).      

FFA -  Congratulations to 8th grade FFA member Tyler McDonald for placing first in the FFA Creed Speaking contest last night in Woodstock.  Congratulations also to Jordan Petrie who placed first in the Jr Prepared Speaking Contest as well with his speech about Food Waste in America.
Both members will advance to the Area Rally next Tuesday at Shenandoah University.

This is a reminder also to the Jr Stockmans Team that we are practicing after school today until 4 pm.
 
TRANSPORTATION FORMS – 2018/2019 Transportation forms MUST be turned in ASAP!  If they are not turned in you will not be able to ride the bus next school year.  Please stop by the front office if you need another copy.  

YEARBOOK – Attention students and staff:  Yearbook preview days will be on Friday, 4/6 and Monday, 4/9 from 3-4pm in Ms. Clagg’s room.  Please swing by Ms. Clagg’s room either of these days to check your photo or group’s pages and help proofread the yearbook!  

GIRLS BASKETBALL - Are you in 6th or 7th grade and interested in playing girls basketball for the 2018 season? 
If you answered yes, then we want you to come to open gym on Wednesday, April 18 from 3-4. Sign up in the office or outside of Ms. Gagen's or Ms. Seymour's room. New players welcome!
