Where Learning Comes First


BIRTHDAYS – no bdays.

WRESTLING – Practice will end early today, January 7th at 5:00 p.m.  This weeks schedule:  Tuesday, January 8th against Daniel Morgan and Charlestown (home) and Thursday, January 10th against Skyline Middle (away).  Our banquet will be on January 28th

BOYS BASKETBALL –  This weeks schedule:  Tuesday, January 8th against Daniel Morgan (away)


FCCLA – Officer Meeting will be held on Wednesday, January 9th until 4 p.m.   We have an officer position open for Vice President of Programs, please get an application from Mrs. Henry in room 144 if you are interested.  The application and teacher references are due by Tuesday, January 8th no later than 8:30 a.m.  Our next member meeting will be on Wednesday, January 16th until 4:30 p.m. in room 144.  Please pick up permission form outside of the classroom.


BEAUTY AND THE BEAST REHEARSAL – Rehearsal will take place on Tuesday and Thursday this week from 3-6 p.m.  Please report to the chorus room promptly at 2:55 p.m. and have rides here at promptly 6:00 p.m. by echo hallway.  


TSA – Aylor’s Schools Next school design team will meet Tuesday, 1/8 from 2:50 – 3:45 in the Tech Lab.  TSA will meet Wednesday, January 9th.  Project and competition work will continue and new members are welcome to attend. 


FFA MEMBERS – If you are interested in trying out for the FFA Plant Science Team or the FFA Food and Fiber Team, stop by the Ag department and get a study guide.  You must take the team test by Monday, January 14th to try out for the team.  See Mrs. Black and Mrs. Harrison if you have a question. 


DESTINATION IMAGINATION FUNDRIASER – Please help support our Destination Imagination team by coming to Anthony’s Pizza in Stephens city on Friday, January 11th from 4:30 – 6:30 p.m.  They will receive a portion of the proceeds that will help them with their community service project. 


FORENSIC TEAM – Join the Aylor Forensic Team!!!  What is Forensics? Forensics is basically public speaking! If you like to read, sing, act out skits, or quote scenes from your favorite movie or T.V. show, then forensics might just be the club for you! Students will choose a piece from one of five presentation categories to practice and present at the school competition on Feb. 20. Winners of the school-level competition will go on to represent Aylor in the county level competition at James Wood Middle School on March 25. Want to learn more?
